Fiji Crop Livestock Council (FCLC) organized, in coordination with the Ministry of Agriculture (MOA), a Workshop titled ‘Organising Farmers through Collective Action of Solesolevaki- Rural Millionaire Concept to Improve Entrepreneurship skills and agribusiness relations for inclusive economic growth and more resilient livelihoods for farmers, women and youths.
The overall goal is to strengthen the capacity of the farmers and their clusters or producer organisations, and key stakeholders to equip them with knowledge, skills and tools that can be used to professionalize and improve their individual and organizational performance, and agribusiness relations.
The workshop programme included ‘real-life’ cases based on the Rural Millionaire Concept of Sawaieke and Nayarabale villages, and lessons learnt to be shared and/or replicated with the farmer cluster/organization at Naitutu village, Namalata, Tailevu.
The training was attended by 68 women, youths and male farmers.
