Fiji Crop Livestock Council (FCLC) organized a Training Workshop for Rice farmers on ‘Planning & Implementing Contract Farming’, in collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture, supported by EU, IFAD, ACP under the FO4ACP Program through the Pacific Island Farmers Organisation (PIFON).
The training was held at the MOA Dreketi Research Station, Macuata.
The training is expected to empower farmers and buyer’s relevant knowledge and information to effectively engage in farming, with full compliance to the requirements of the markets and the benefits of securing partnership under the contract farming model of the Public Private Producer Partnership (4Ps).
The training was attended by 45 participants.
